On Saint Patrick's Day, March 17th, 2006 the United States Senate with Arlen Specter leading the fight has approved legislation to be introduced on the Senate floor that will create a guest worker program for some 15 million illegal aliens, and pave the way to eventual citizenship.
Polls show that over 70 percent of Americans favor the deportation of illegal aliens, putting and end to anchor babies who get granted INSTANT citizenship by virtue of being born here. Further, and even greater percentage of Americans favor legislation that will truly secure our Southern Borders, and that DOES NOT GRANT AMNESTY to those who have come here illegally to steal our jobs and way of life.
The goal of this board is to discuss the potential to organize a serious March on Washington to OPPOSE Amnesty, to oppose a Guest Worker Plan, and to insist that our Southern Border with Mexico be secured, and our immigration laws not only reformed, but enforced in a meaningful fashion that protects our middle class American way of life.
Start a thread, share your ideas, let us know in what areas you would be willing to help out so that this dream can become a reality as tens of thousands if not millions of Americans MARCH to the White House to demand that Bush hear and heed our words.

I think a good place to start would be at the local protests scheduled for next Wednesday. I'll be printing flyers Monday and Tuesday to hand out on Wednesday. So many people are so blind to the problem, we've GOT to wake them up!

Hi PineStraw:
Yes, agree that a big part of the problem is WAKING up the masses. I think many within the circles of power depend on basic human ignorance of the issues and how they affect us as individuals until after it is too late, and that has to change.
Good luck on the fliers...think I will try to organize something around here...wondering now if I could get a permit to picket in front of Bill Clinton house since it is just down the road from here.

Don't need a permit on public property, do you?

Trust me, Bill and Hilliary live in a very affluent area of Chappaqua....you need a permit, or you could get in some serious troubles really quickly.
They bought a house at the end of a culdisack, and their neighbors are NOT overly happy about it when they are at home...can we say Secret Service black vehicles parked around the turn around ALL DAY LONG.
So yes, would need a permit for that one.

Hi all. Some of you already know me, just not by this name. PintoBean, thank you for the link.
I didn't know you could stage a protest without a permit even on private property. Pinestrawguys.
No wonder those people can walk around in huge mobs and not get arrested!

Hello:
First, welcome! Nice to see our membership slowly growing, and hope you will share our link with those you feel could be of help to our cause.
Some points:
1. On permits...many cities and towns have figured out they cannot keep you from protesting, but they can make you get a permit. For instance, to protest in front of Hilliary's house, I have to get a permit.
2. Spreading the word...a good start is letting people know that talk about a possible march on Washington by our side is being held, and invite them here to join in on the discussion.
3. As I said in another post a minute ago, think we should draft a carefully worked letter to some of the big hitters asking them to get involved in and to endorse this call for a march.
